About Energy Day
The chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW – NU) at Northwestern University will host its fifth annual conference Energy Day. Energy Day at NU will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2009 in Tech on the Evanston Campus.
Energy Day at NU, now in its fifth year, brings together leaders in industry, academia, and policy to discuss how each sector is addressing the energy and environmental issues facing the world. By creating an interdisciplinary forum, we hope to educate and empower attendees to tackle these issues. Last year we hosted over 200 students and professionals from around Chicago. The conference featured Henry Henderson, Director of National Resource Defense Council Midwest Office, Bill Becker the Founder and CEO of Aerotecture International, and Mark Weick, Director of 2015 Sustainability Goals at Dow Chemical, as well as many other engaging speakers.
The theme of this year’s conference will be Entrepreneurship for a Sustainable World.
