| About Us
The Materials Science Club (Matsci Club) at Northwestern
University seeks to serve the interests of both enrolled Materials
Science and Engineering undergraduate students and those students in
other majors with an interest in materials.
The Matsci Club is a joint student chapter of both ASM International
(formerly the American Society of Materials) and TMS (The Metals,
Minerals, and Materials Society) professional organizations.
Every year, the Matsci Club plans educational, professional and social
activities. Some of the highlights include: M.E.S.S. (Matsci Exposing
Students to Science) educational outreach to local grade schools,
Professors as People Luncheon lecture series, plan trips to local
companies, hosting ASM-TMS meetings, poster competitions and career
discussions with alumni.
