Join the Matsci Club

Membership is open to all students, engineering majors or non majors are all welcome. Those with an enthusiasm for science are encouraged to attend one of our quarterly club meetings or send an email to one of the people on the right.

Professional Organizations

MAUndergraduates are encouraged to become student/juniors members of several professional organizations. Northwestern maintains an active student chapter of Material Advantage with the MatSci Club and the associated graduate student chapter.

Material Advantage provides a single low-cost membership that provides access to the materials science and engineering professional's most preeminent societies:

Scholarships

Membership with Material Advantage opens students to all of the financial assistance offered by ACerS, AIST, ASM, and TMS in scholarships and grants. Nearly $600,000 in scholarships and grants is available through societies, chapters and foundations.

The Fellowship Office has information for national scholarship and grant programs available for undergraduates. These include the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Scholarships and Fellowships and USA Today All-USA College Academic Team Award.
