If you are interested in becoming a member of NU ASCE, simply join our listserv and/or facebook group to receive notifications on upcoming events. There are no annual or quarterly dues. If you have any other questions contact Alex Stack.

ASCE National

Why Join ASCE National?
Even if you’re not expecting to go to area meetings downtown in the foreseeable future, you still should join ASCE National. Why? Doing so makes you eligible for many scholarships, entitles you to free access to a few online periodicals that may prove useful for research papers, and will save you money if you decide to join ASCE after you graduate. Per ASCE National, you may not list your membership in ASCE on a resume unless you are part of the national organization in addition to the local organization.

The national ASCE chapter's primary functions are:

• Sets up national workshops for design, construction, and research professionals.
• Lobbies Federal Government for changes in national policy.
• Offers scholarships, coordinates area meetings and events.
• Area meetings generally cost money, but ASCE will subsidize these expenditures.
