This year's Summer Program took place on June 15-17th. Please contact Summer Program Director Jessica Swenson for information on STEP 2010. The Summer Technology and Engineering Program (STEP) is a 3 Day non-residential camp for girls going into 8th and 9th grades to encourage them to explore careers in the field of engineering.

This year's program's theme was sustainability. Participants did the following:
Worked in small groups with Northwestern undergraduate engineering students
Learned about the different engineering disciplines through hands-on activities and understand career opportunities within each
Worked in teams on a 3 day design project that included soldering a robot and coming up with a product concept
Explored laboratories at Northwestern's Technological Institute
Took a field trip to the Chicago Center for Green Technology
Met other girls who are also excited about engineering!
